On the occasion of a little conference for a European traffic project we had the opportunity to go to the South of Germany, to the region around Munich. It is usual that there is much more snow than we are used to have in Mainz. Although, in this year, only a few days before all mountains were free of snow and green up to about 2000 metres. So we were a bit wondering if we would see any snow at all.

Anlässlich einer kleinen Konferenz für ein europäisches Verkehrsprojekt hatten wir die Gelegenheit nach Süddeutschland zu fahren, in die Region um München. Für gewöhnlich gibt es dort deutlich mehr Schnee als wir normalerweise in Mainz haben. Allerdings waren in diesem Jahr noch wenige Tage zuvor alle Berge frei von Schnee und grün bis 2000 m Höhe. So sorgten wir uns ein wenig, ob wir wohl überhaupt Schnee zu sehen bekämen.

En la ocasión de una pequeña conferencia para un proyecto Europeo sobre el tráfico tuvimos la oportunidad de ir al sur de Alemania, a la región alrededor de Munich. Usualmente hay mucha más nieve que la tenemos normalmente en Mainz. Aunque, en este año, pocos días antes todas las montañas estaban verdes y sin nieve a un altura de 2000 metros. Así que nos preguntabamos si tendríamos la oportunidad de ver nieve.

But as we arrived in Erding it began to snow in the first night.

It kept snowing and so we went for a walk in the snow already in the first night after buying a few things in the market.

Es schneite ununterbrochen und so unternahmen wir gleich am ersten Abend nach dem Einkauf einen Spaziergang im Schnee.

Continuaba nevando y entonces fuimos a caminar en la nieve en la primera noche después de comprar algunas cosas en el mercado.

The next morning we had this look out of the window into the garden behind the house.

Am nächsten Morgen hatten wir diesen Ausblick aus dem Fenster in den Garten hinter dem Haus.

While Elmar was in the meeting in the Mayr-Wirt hotel, Leticia made a walk through the park close to the appartment. Here children were enjoying the snow.

Während Elmar zum Meeting im Hotel Mayr-Wirt war, machte Leticia einen Spaziergang durch den Park nahe beim Appartment. Hier vergnügten sich die Kinder im Schnee.

Mientras Elmar estaba en la conferencia en el hotel Mayr-Wirt, Leticia paseaba por el parque cerca del departamento. Aqui los niños disfrutando de la nieve.

Not far away was also a little lake resting quietly in the winter landscape.

Nicht weit entfernt ruhte auch ein kleiner See still in der Winterlandschaft.

No muy lejos hay un pequeño lago descanzando en la tranquilidad del invierno.

The following day we made a work excursion to the new traffic museum in Munich. Here Elmar had to take a lot of photos and movies (around 330 in 4.5 hours). We present only a few examples of nice cars. A part of the rest will appear later on a scientific website.

Am folgenden Tag machten wir einen Arbeitsausflug zum neuen Verkehrsmuseum nach München. Hier musste Elmar sehr viele Bilder und kleine Filme machen (etwa 330 in 4,5 Stunden). Wir zeigen hier nur einige Beispiele von schönen Autos. Ein Teil der restlichen Bilder kommen später auf eine wissenschaftliche Webseite.

El día siguiente hicimos una excursión de trabajo al nuevo museo de tráfico en München. Aqui Elmar tomó muchisimas fotos y videos (alrededor de 330 en 4.5 horas). Aqui les presentamos sólo algunos ejemplos de autos elegantes. Una parte del resto aparecerá mas tarde en un sitio de Internet científico.
